The cloud pattern is very similar to that of Jupiter and Saturn. Neptune even has a Great Dark Spot™ similar to Jupiter's Great Red Spot™. The "Original" Great Dark Spot™ "disappeared" in 1994 in what could only be characterized as a "dynamic and rapidly changing atmosphere" in the executive, and was quickly "replaced" with a similar "Spot™" in a similar place. This was followed with a slippery series of press releases that did little to explain the now so-called™ "disappearance" and "reappearance" of the Great Dark Spot™.
