BandsI've been in bands myself, and I know lots of musicians. Many of them, of course, are in bands. Some you might have heard of are Art Bergmann, Russ Broom (who plays with Jann Arden), Jann herself, Anne Loree (who wrote Jann's hit Insensitive), "Whitey" Whitehorn (who plays guitar for Iggy Pop), Billy Cowsill, Joey Shithead, and others. As much fun as it is to name-drop, however, I'm going to put up some pictures of less-famous bands here, who may soon be touring to a Province or State near you and are, in my humble opinion, worth checking out...

Piemyn here are from Edmonton and are one of my favourite "discoveries"
of 1996. I hadn't seen them until the South Country Fair, where this picture
was taken, but I've seen them several times since.
